Old Town Inspiration - Vintage Treats!

I ventured into Hastings Old Town today with Danny and my older sister, The Style PA, to peruse Hastings Old Town for vintage inspiration. We also went to view a potential wedding venue (but that's a story for another blog post. Needless to say it was mightily exciting!). These lovely scrabble rings were courtesy of Little Treasures, one of my favourite shops in the old town.

I love old apothecary cabinets! Each drawer should hold something different and mysterious...

The Imaginarium in the Old Town junk yard... I think if I visited the junk yard every weekend for a year, I would never struggle to find new and interesting things each and every time!

Very tempted by some lovely old maps...

Pretty things!

I love the idea of using old suitcases for storage and decor.

Vintage, Antique and Junk Shops In Hastings Old Town

Whenever I am back home for the holidays almost the first thing I do, after saying hello to the parentals of course, is to go for a little explore in the Old Town vintage, antique and junk shops. It was an absolutely beautiful day as well - perfect weather for some old town browsing. First stop: Little Treasures Vintage who are also now on Twitter too! So be sure to follow. I've blogged about this lovely shop before (here and here). I loved their little polka dot table outside the shop with this gorgeous tea cup set and glass dish!

One day I will own a lovely gold framed mirror!

I'm really into cameos at the moment, I've got some lovely cameo earrings that would look fab with these necklaces.

Next stop, the Retro Shop on The Highstreet - Now that's a whole lotta yellow! They always have a really interesting collection of retro homeware and furniture. I had my eye on a lovely set of soup bowls.

Final stop, the antique and junk yards. I love the little jumble of indoor and outdoor antique and junk stalls. You liteally never know what you're going to find... Punch & Judy puppets, a old bath, chandeliers, crockery, a wooden parrot, military uniforms, records... the list could go on! I love it. I always feel like I'm discovering a lost treasure.

Little Treasures Vintage - A Lovely Little Vintage Shop in Hastings!

I have featured this wonderful little shop on my blog before, and I have been inspired to blog once again, I love it so much! Whenever I am visiting home when I'm not at university in Leeds, I always make time to pay a visit to Little Treasures Vintage on The Highstreet in Hastings Old Town. I had a little chat with the shop owner, who is lovely, on my latest visit to her delightful shop and I bought these cute little cameo earrings, which came in a pretty drawstring bag too.

I bought this gorgeous floral milk jug when I visited the shop during Hastings Old Town week for the bargainous price of £1! You can't beat a pretty, vintage bargain!

The shop sells some brilliant jewellery: a wide variety of vintage earrings and necklaces amongst some lovely vintage-style jewellery, including the nautical necklaces below!

I was very tempted by the lego head and pink gingerbread men earrings but I settled on the cameo earrings instead. If there were no restraints on my budget I would happily buy up half of the shop stock!

There is a great range of clothing as well. There are some lovely unique vintage dresses and items of clothing (I had my eye on a couple of polka dot dresses!) and some vintage-inspired clothing lines too - I especially love the 40's style tea dresses!

The (relatively) newer addition to the shop is the opening of the upstairs space for mens wear and home-ware! I adore the cushions, my favourites are the Flamingo cushions and these brilliant Centaur pillow cases.

I just love a good vintage mirror!

Little Treasures also stock some fabulous home-ware by Lush Designs I love the Rex and Regina Tea Towels, lampshades and the cushions in the photo below...

If you are in the Hastings area I suggest you come and visit this adorable shop and bag yourself a lovely, unique vintage outfit that everyone will envy, and kit out your home with some vintage treats! But in the meantime, enjoy some more vintage delights from the wonderful Little Treasures via the marvel of Youtube....

Little Treasures - Vintage Shop in Hastings Old Town

There is a lovely little vintage shop in The Highstreet, in Hastings Old Town. It's called Little Treasures and it really does live up to it's name. It is totally delightful and is filled with gorgeous vintage treasures. There are some beautiful vintage polka dot dresses, floral playsuits, and gingham pinafores adorning their rails, along with some really cute home-ware too.

As well as clothing, Little Treasures also sells home-ware and jewellery. I adore the cushions with 50's pin up designs, Hawaiian prints, very cute flamingo designs, and a variety of retro patterns, and I would love to fill my sofa with them! Little Treasures also sell some quirky vintage furniture.

I really love the jewellery that Little Treasures sell. The teapot and teacup necklace below is a personal favourite of mine, the Tealover's Necklace is a bargain at £12 (plus, the polka dot background makes the whole thing much more appealing! or is that just me?)

Gorgeous Red Floral Vintage Dress!

I'm not usually one for sharing my outfits in posts, but I bought this gorgeous red floral vintage dress for an amazing £7 in Camden and I love it so much it's too good NOT to share it with you all! I tend to find it quite difficult to find vintage dresses that fit my larger size and that look good on, so I was more than pleasantly surprised to find that this little gem fit perfectly! I completed the look with a red bow in my hair and white chunky beads. Happy days!

Where do you find your vintage treasures? I love finding little hidden vintage shops that are off the beaten path and grab myself something special. There are a few lovely places in Leeds that I visit regularly, and one of my new favourite's is a newly opened vintage shop in Hastings Old Town called Little Treasures, they have some really great vintage treats there!
