Rokit Vintage HQ - Vintage Dress Up, Hair, Music, Tea and Cakes!

On Sunday I accompanied my sister, Jenny, to Rokit Vintage HQ for some vintage fun! I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than to try on lots of gorgeous clothes, drink champagne out of tea cups, listen to some brilliant bands and get my hair done! It was brilliant!

We arrived at Rokit Vintage HQ at midday and it really was an Aladdin's Cave of vintage treats!

There were bands throughout the afternoon, I loved the 40's style harmony group Three Little Maids that kicked off the music for the day. Drag Your Heels and a DJ set by Munroe Bergdof followed and by the end there people dancing away in vintage getup

The first thing I did was get my hair done by the brilliant Belinda Hay. I was given some formidable victory rolls for the day. I loved them! When I took them out at the end of the day my hair looked fab - a cross between Elvis and Marilyn!

The lovely ladies of the Vintage Patisserie provided refreshments and goodies for the day. There were champagne and jasmine tea cocktails served in tea cups, delicious chocolate cupcakes, scones with clotted cream and jam and some delectable chocolates!

We had the run of vintage-filled warehouse and we could try on whatever took our fancy! I was so tempted to try on the roller skates, but knew that it was a recipe for disaster! It would ahve been a dead cert that I would have collided with the table full of pretty vintage tea cups... which would not have been so pretty!

Not sure this is really my look!

Whereas Jenny can pull off anything! :)
