The Noisettes Christmas Extravaganza Gig

On Tuesday afternoon I jumped on the train to visit my lovely older sister Jenny in Camden we had a little wander round Camden horse market, had a bite to eat, then headed over to the Electric Ballroom for the Christmas Extravaganza Noisettes gig! Shingai looked great, as always, and she has so much energy when performing! If you like the Noisettes' music then I recommend you see them perform live, they really are brilliant! They did a fantastic version of Ever Fallen in Love by Buzzcocks (possibly one of my favourite songs ever!) and in the encore they sang "Chesnuts roasting on an open fire..." I loved every minute of their set!

There were sparkly festive stage decor and minature Christmas trees too!

Shingai's younger brother came on stage a couple of times to sing with her, it was so lovely!

A Chrismas Extravaganza, wouldn't be a Christmas Extravaganza without a little fake snow! :D We were right at the front and got covered in the stuff!

It was certainly different to any gig I've been to, after all, how many times do you have a few rounds of bingo instead of a second support act?!? It was such good fun, I loved it!

Double Dose of Polka Dots - Countdown To Christmas!

I LOVE Christmas, I love Christmas shopping (provided I get it done early so it's not too busy of course!), I love all the delicious treats, I love the parties... in fact, there is very little that I DON'T love about this festive season! So this week's Double Dose of Polka Dots marks my countdown to Christmas...

Double Dose of Polka Dots number one! Snowflakes and polka dot bunting
I really don't need much of an excuse to put a bit of bunting up, and Christmas is no different! I love this cute snowflake and spotty bunting, it's perfect for a bit of a festive finishing touch to your Christmas decorations!

Double Dose of Polka Dots Number Two! Polka Dot Stockings
Unfortunately these polka dot Christmas stockings have sold out in this arts and crafts Etsy shop, but it doesn't make me love them any less!

Christmas Fair in the Old Town

I do love going home for Christmas, it's always a nice break from university, but it's lovely to see the family again and be back in my home town. We all went out for a jolly jaunt in the Old Town and there happened to be a little Christmas fair in the Highstreet, and here are some of the photos I took of the festivities!

How cute is this gingerbread and buttons house!

The festive window display in the dolls house shop :)

One of my favourite shops in the old town... and surprise, surprise, they sell Cath Kidston stock, cupcake-themed items and polka dotty delights!

The German Christmas Market in Leeds

This week I visited the German Christmas Market in Leeds with my lovely friend Tilly. I had a great time and it really made everything start to seem really Christmassy! There are always gorgeously scrummy things to eat and pretty things to buy... Here are a few of my festive photos to document the event!

THAT'S a lot of Nutella! I couldn't resist a banana and nutella crepe!

Tilly with her cherry and chocolate crepe

I bought myself a toasty warm winter hat from this stall last year

Christmas Pudding Hat

Cupcake Hat

Nutcrackers... they kind of freak me out a little bit... it's those weird exposed teeth and beards...

It wouldnt possibly be a German Christmas Market without a few German sausages!

Mulled wine and Christmassy Coca Cola!

I didn't get myself one this time around, I already had garlic bread and yummy crepe in my tummy, but last year I bought a couple of these great huge chocolate covered marshmallows!

When me and Tilly couldnt take the freezing cold temperatures of the Christmas Market we ventured along to All Bar One for a warm drink and some dinner... Tilly's latte came with a shot of smarties! How cute!

You can't beat a good homemade burger!
