There's nothing like a bit of upcycling. Why waste lovely fabrics, clothes, and objects when they can be upcycled into something better, prettier and dottier!? This Monday's double dose for your dotty delight features some lovely dotty upcycled items available on the world wide web...
Dose number one - I absolutely adore this lovely little purse made from an unused polka dot tie! It's very cute, and there are more where this one came from, made by the lovely Kake Makes in her folksy shop. You can follow her great blog What Katie Found too!
Double Dose Two - This upcycled polka dot hair slide is made from a variety of vegan polka dot fabrics and is really pretty. It's £5.25 from EcoLoveByBunny's Etsy shop.
As some of my Twitter followers are aware, I will be starting my final year teaching placement tomorrow... (excited! nervous!)... as a teacher I find that I constantly carry half of my life around with me, and it gets pretty heavy, and hard work! So naturally a little bit of polka dotty Cath Kidston eases the load immensly!
Dose numero uno! I love anything in the Cath Kidston "Spot" design and this gorgeous Holdall cannot fail to accomodate all of my folders, planning, laptop and of course my lunchbox!
Dose numero dos! Laptops are invariably very dull-looking (unless you splash out on a posh and pretty one!) so I like to keep mine looking pretty in a blue floral sleeve. I love this Cath Kidston Spot laptop sleeve for £22
This week's double dose of polka dots features some dotty stationary... I've got three exams this week, so with revision and the exams themselves rearing their ugly head, some pretty polka dots will help me survive it all with my sanity in tact... well... almost!
Dose number one - These lovely little shiny happy polka dot pens are from dotcomgiftshop and are a bargain at £1.95! Perfect to accompany me into my exam and keep me going when the clock is ticking and I'm running out of paper and ideas fast!
I stumbled across this amazing photographer recently, and I have fallen in love with his work! Carl Warner's "Food Landscapes" really are amazing! Everything that makes up the scene is an item of food, and the photos have a really dream-like quality that I just love! To see more about Carl Warner and his work visit his website... in the meantime here are a few of his photographs!

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but chances are it's cold, miserable and raining. I love autumn, all the pretty leaves and colours, and those crisp, cold, but sunny days. But somehow Leeds has felt like it has been raining non-stop for a week now! The one advantage of the horrid weather is that I've had an excuse to wear my polka dot rain mac (above) and get out my pretty polka dot umbrella! Below are some more polka dot delights that are perfect for this cold and wet weather!
Well folks, it's that time again already.... Monday morning! Time for your double dose of polka dots... after all, who would want to start the week without it! Ok, so this week's dotty theme is polka dots and pin ups... enjoy!
ASOS Fiorucci Rear Window Watch - £50
On one of my many scourings of Etsy, I came across this delightful cupcake based shop: The Cupcake Social. There isn't much for me to say other than, it makes me smile... all those polka dots, all those pretty things... all those cakes! There were so many things that I loved and wanted in their shop that the only way I could put them all into this blog post (without it being a mile long!) was to give you lots of little pics... ENJOY!

I don't usually have many plans for Halloween, but this year was different. My boyfriend and his band were Deejaying for a Rockabilly night: Rockabilly Riot Zombie Dance at Smokestack in Leeds. So naturally I got into the Zombie spirit of things, donned my favourite vintage dress, zombie-fied my skin and went along for a halloween boogie!
