Dollydagger - Brighton Boutique and Bettie Page Dresses

Since Dollydagger opened their boutique shop in Brighton, I'd been eagerly awaiting my next trip home from uni (in Leeds) so I could visit it and see all the gorgeous dresses in the flesh. Last weekend I jumped on the train and headed along to Brighton for a day of fun with friends and so I tracked down their shop in the lanes and made a bee-line for the boutique! It was lovely to see some of the dresses I lust about on their website and it made me want them all the more! I think when I get my first proper wage in September I will have to treat myself to one! But in the meantime I will have to lust after the dresses on their website... including some of these lovely newbies in the "Bettie Page" collection... enjoy!

Let Them Eat Cake!

I've been a busy little bee again! I've had my sketchbook out and I've been doodling. This time the drawing features the quote "Let Them Eat Cake" and cupcakes, strawberries, stars, teapots, tea, sprinkles, hearts, polka dots and bunting! We're All Mad Here - Alice in Wonderland Artwork... By Me!

Last night I had the urge to get all creative and I started doodling... and this is the result! I have added it to my Etsy shop. It is a pencil and ink drawing inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and the quote "We're All Mad Here" by the Cheshire Cat.

If there is a literary or film quote you'd love immortalised in an All About Abbie doodle drawing, let me know and I will be happy to give it a go, add it to my shop and if you like it then you could buy it... I welcome any reprieve from uni work and there is nothing more relaxing than an evening of drawing and doodling.

I love to sketch!

There is nothing I love more than sitting in the sunshine with pencils and sketchbook in hand. I love painting, and using charcoals, but there is something very relaxing about sketching, and something satisfying about spending time on a sketch and then finishing the drawing. As soon as my assignments, research project and exams are over and done with, and the summer starts, I will start sketching again. But in the meanwhile I have been rummaging through some of my old sketchbooks and I will share some of the oldies with you all...
